Lox and Bagels is a congregational T’filah Band that consists but is not limited to BHCBE Academy students ages 10-16. The Lox and Bagels Band provides a unique opportunity for learning of liturgical and non-liturgical Jewish music through interactive and fun rehearsal process. Lox and Bagels members play music and grow together as musicians and as Jews. The band has already become a regular feature of our Friday Night Live and we are looking at many other opportunities to perform in and outside the shul. Beth Hillel Youth Choir is a group of dedicated Academy students ages 10-12. The choir, lead by Cantor Roytman has been a great way of engaging young members of BHCBE in prayer through music and song. It provides a wonderful opportunity for children to socialize and learn in a warm and fun Jewish environment. Though formed a year ago, the choir has already had a very busy performance schedule. It was featured at Friday Night Services, congregational Channukah Celebration, the Channukah Lights Ceremony at Old Orchard Shopping Center, and as a part of Purim Shpil.
