Bnai Mitzvah Club

Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah (BHCBE) welcomes 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who will be celebrating a Bar or Bat Mitzvah from August 2011 – June 2012 to participate in the BHCBE Bnai Mitzvah Club (BMC). The BHCBE Bnai Mitzvah club is a fun and collegial way of helping our students prepare for their upcoming Bar or Bat Mitzvah. The club will meet once a month from September to May for fun, hands-on programs that will reinforce information they are taught during their Bar or Bat Mitzvah preparation. BMC programs will have components that are educational, social, grade-bonding, and social-action oriented.

Below is a list of just a few of the programs of the Bnai Mitzvah Club:

  • Tie-dye Tallit Making
  • Decorate Your Own Siddur
  • Making blankets for the Linus Project
  • Broomball
  • Volunteering at Children’s Hospital

The participation fee for the Bnai Mitzvah Club is $30, which also includes your child/ren’s membership in Kadima, the BHCBE Youth Department youth group for middle school students. At the completion of the Bnai Mitzvah Club, your child/ren will also receive a free year in the BHCBE Youth Department for the year after their Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
