Young Families

Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah (BHCBE) welcomes families with young children (ages 0 – 8) to join us on a Jewish journey of learning, building community and family fun! Current members and those seeking a connection to a Jewish community are invited to share and explore these Jewish experiences at our Young Family Program (YFP). We at BHCBE recognize that the most effective way to strengthen Jewish identity and pass on Jewish values is to create and provide innovative family programming.

BHCBE provides a cheerful place where parents and children sit together singing Jewish songs, making art projects, praying and having Shabbat dinner together in a more intimate, less formal setting. Throughout the year we organize numerous events enabling young families to interact. Some of these activities include Hamantaschen baking, PJ Havdallah & Movie Night, Royal Shabbat, and much more. We strive to make event times, content, venue, food and cost all comfortable for families with young children.

The goals of YFP are:

• Provide Jewish education and programming for families with young children
• Provide a warm and nurturing community for parents and caregivers of young children
• Provide a platform to support the families’ growing Jewish identity
• Provide ideas and resources for Jewish home rituals and participation
• Provide connections for families with young children to the activities and operations within the synagogue
